There are five must have makeup tools that I use every time I do my makeup. No matter the time of day or what makeup I’m applying, I always reach for these five things. They help with the overall appearance of my makeup and simply make it an easier process.

Lash Curler

I didn’t start using one until after college and let me tell you, it really makes a difference. I curl my lashes every day before applying mascara and it helps so much. The lashes are well aligned so that I can get the mascara brush right in at the bottom of my lashes and brush straight through.

Beauty Blender

Oh my word. If you’re not using a beauty blender – or similar makeup sponge – to apply your foundation, tinted moisturizer or concealer, you are missing out. Once you dampen the sponge, it creates a perfect texture to dab the product into your skin. It makes everything look super natural while still providing coverage. I tend to apply the product with my fingers on to my face and then work it in with the beauty blender. A winning combo, my friends.

Sigma Blending Brush

I tend to wear one single eyeshadow on most days and I use this blending brush basically for everything. It makes the eyeshadow look flawless and blends in beautifully. I’ve had this brush since college and it’s still one of my favorite makeup brushes. Highly recommend!

Q Tips

Totally random but I use them every day! I use them to remove excess mascara that transferred on to my lids. I also use them to brush through my bottom lashes when I’ve applied mascara on them. They remove just the right amount and make them look super natural. They’re great at cleaning up any eye makeup mishaps and like I said, I use them every. day.

Face Mist

Once I’m finished with my makeup, I always set it with a face mist. Not only does it help with keeping it in place longer, it also hydrates the face and gets rid of too much powder. The added mist gives your skin a natural dew that makes the makeup look awesome. I use one to three pumps and feel refreshed for the day.
