Where has the week gone?! I apologize for my lack of posts on the blog but I’ve been focusing on my holiday gift guide videos this week. I hope you’re as excited as I am about them! Uploading two videos and trying to crank out 3 blog posts a week is the goal. But I still have to get my system down better. The biggest struggle with blogging specifically, is photography. I’d love to do more style shoots but Greg is only available on the weekends. And while paying for a photographer is a great idea, I don’t have the means to do that all the time. But there were some big things that happened this week….
I was honored to be featured in Ringlet’s District Boss Interview this week! I loved answering these questions, giving me a chance to reflect on my own business. You get caught up in daily life so quickly that it’s nice to set aside time and realize how far you’ve come. I met Elise, the founder of Ringlet Studio, a few years ago through Create + Cultivate Dallas and instantly knew she was the real deal. She’s successfully built a team around her and has helped many DC businesses in the area thrive. I’ve been an avid reader of her blog and newsletter for years and always learn something new from her.
In Case You Missed It
Two new videos hit my Youtube channel this week! The first one centered around my favorite drugstore skincare products. Drugstore skincare can be hit or miss so I rounded up all the products that I love and use in my daily routine. There’s a few brands that I gravitate towards because they just perform every single time.
The other video is this purple smokey eye tutorial and I did my first voiceover video! If you saw yesterday’s Insta stories, you can see how excited I was about it haha! I think it turned out really well for my first time. Do let me know what you think in the comments!
Greg probably doesn’t want you to know, but it’s his birthday tomorrow! My husband and best friend is turning 29 and I’m so excited to celebrate with him. Now here’s the plot twist: We’re also going to a wedding tomorrow! Two of Greg’s high school friends are getting married – how cute! – and we are both so happy for them. Since Greg is quite introverted – just like me – he doesn’t like making a big deal out of his birthday. It will be fun to be surrounded by his friends, celebrate the wedding and have a good time.
I’ve been going back and forth between listening to Taylor Swift’s new album and Christmas music this week. Quite the combination! I found out yesterday that Gwen Stefani came out with a christmas album and you know what? I actually really like it! At first, I didn’t think it’d be any good but her voice works surprisingly. In case you’re looking for another GREAT christmas album, Simply Christmas by Leslie Odom Jr. is a also real winner.
