Friday Favorites Vol. 6 – On A Saturday

Friday Favorites Vol. 6 - www.viciloves.com - @viciloves1

This week flew because I’ve been brainstorming and working on exciting ideas for 2018. I’m relaunching my newsletter at the end of this month and will from now on send a newsletter on the last Monday of each month. I know there are waaaaay too many annoying emails out there so I promise not to be spammy or boring. Expect to get a small recap of my last month’s content, a few beauty and style picks that are in my shopping cart, recipes that I’ve used recently that I don’t want to share on the blog, and a little bit of motivation to start the new month on a good note.

After seeing Oprah’s speech at the Golden Globes the other week (watch it here), I immediately ran to my library to get her book What I know For Sure. It’s a short read and is filled with so much Oprah wisdom. As I didn’t grow up watching her show in Switzerland, I am just now falling in love with how amazing this woman is! She tells stories about her life and what she’s learned through each situation. It’s one of those books that I think everyone should read.

I know this is a random favorite but Trader Joe’s has been a week night lifesaver. Both Greg and I have been working longer hours at night and having a quickly prepared meal from TJ’s has been our go-to. It’s a very reasonably priced grocery store and everything I’ve tried from them is SO GOOD. I do want to cook more fresh meals at night again but right now it’s not in the cards with all the work I’d rather get done. A few of my personal favorites are the frozen butter & sage gnocchi, vegan pesto dip, vegetable fried rice, pomegranates, the affordable wine selection and for dessert the chocolate covered banana bites.

Lastly I’m loving my current everyday bag that I featured in my Longchamp Collection + Review video this past week. It’s the perfect blue/grey color and I can fit so much in there without it being too big of a bag. It’s come in handy during my early pilates classes because it fits all of my towels and water bottle. It just goes with everything!

That’s a wrap for this week’s Friday favorites on a Saturday, ha! I’m SO looking forward to watching the NFL playoffs tomorrow. I jumped up and screamed at the television last week after the amazing finish from the Minnesota Vikings and can’t wait to see who ends up in the Superbowl. Do you have a sport that makes you scream at the tv? Anyways… I hope you have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you next week!
