This past weekend I was on an organizing streak and finally put the finishing touch on my office. When we originally moved into the house my office had bright blue walls with hand painted fish on it. I wish I made that up but that’s what I had to work with in the beginning.
After painting the room white, I wanted to hang up some office wall art to give it my personal touch and make it feel more at home. Right away I knew I wanted a piece from Minted as I’ve ordered several holiday cards from them before and have been very pleased with their service. I also love that Minted is a marketplace of independent artists from around the globe that lets me find really unique pieces. You can search for beautiful prints online, support the artist’s craft and order the print in whatever size you choose.
After looking through countless prints I decided on this beautiful piece called “Enliven” by Melanie Severin. It’s hung in a white herringbone frame and fits perfectly above my desk. As I do most of my creative work in my office I like that it’s bright and colorful. It infuses liveliness and vibrancy into the room and inspires me every time I look at it.
Now that I have this piece I’m tempted to add more wall art around the house, like this cactus one, this flower watercolor one or this abstract lake view one. Do you have wall art in your home or are thinking of getting some? Where do you envision hanging them in your house?
