August Beauty Favorites

August Beauty Favorites - VicilovesAugust Beauty Favorites - VicilovesIt’s that time of the month again where I round up all of my beauty favorites! As August is coming to a close I’m really excited for the fall with all of it’s fun activities: weddings, Oktoberfest, pumpkin carving, hot apple ciders and so much more! But before we get there I’ll reflect on this last summer month.

Not Your Mother’s Texturizing Sea Salt Spray: I took this spray with me on my trip to St. Lucia and used it every day after the shower. It gave my hair enough texture without weighing it down and revitalized it after a full day at the beach. I love the way it smells and that it’s travel size friendly. A great drugstore find!

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Moisturizer: I used this all month when I didn’t want to wear my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It has SPF 30 and smells tropical, perfect for summer! It’s not heavy, sinks in to the skin quickly and leaves the face moisturized with a matte finish. Since you’re supposed to wear a bit of SPF on your face everyday I think this is a great alternative to other facial SPF moisturizers.

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs: Everyone needs to try this (I’m not kidding). I used this a lot this summer to get a more natural tan on my legs as well as conceal my many mosquito bites that I got on my legs. This not only gives your legs a nice bronze color, it also helps to conceal discoloration (also known as terrible mosquito bites…). It’s water resistant but comes off easily in the shower. I love using this to prolong my summer tan and touch up any areas that didn’t get as much sun.

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water: I just want to say THANK YOU to Simple *throws hands up in the air*. Thank you for providing an affordable micellar water at the drugstore where I don’t have to fly to France to get it (yes I’m talking about you, Bioderma). I love cleaning my face with micellar water and this one is seriously amazing. It doesn’t have any harsch chemicals, artificial perfumes or dyes and smells pleasantly neutral. It gets rid of all my makeup and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. And I like love that it’s readily available at the drugstore – take that, Bioderma!

Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter: I already did a review on it here but I had to include it again in my August beauty favorites. The champagne color is absolutely stunning and I could stare at it for hours if I didn’t have a life. It looks amazing on my skin and gives me the right amount of shimmer without being overpowering. If you’re in the market for a new highlighter I can’t recommend this one enough.

Essie Nail Polish in “Bikini So Teeny”: I saw this cornflower blue color at the drugstore and thought it would be such a fun nail polish for summer. I didn’t have anything like it and loved how vibrant it looked in store. Even though the summer is coming to an end I’m still loving it on my nails – it adds a pop of color to my day :-)

That’s a wrap on my August beauty favorites! I’m interested to hear: What you been loving this past month? Leave me a comment below with your favorites and I may add it to my wish list!
