Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter Review

In early July Becca launched a new shade of their Shimmering Skin Perfector highlighter called Champagne Pop. Becca partnered up with Youtube Beauty Personality Jaclin Hill to come up with the shade and it has already gotten a ton of hype in the beauty community. I’ve never watched any of Jaclin Hill’s videos but I was in the market for a new highlighter and this Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter looked too beautiful to pass up.

Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter:

The pressed powder is a stunning rose golden highlighter that truly captures the name Champagne Pop. As soon as the highlighter arrived in the mail I applied it on to my cheeks and fell in love immediately. Since I bought it online I was initially worried that it would be too golden for my fair skin, but that is not the case at all!

This Becca highlighter is such a beautiful color that I think will work with virtually every skin tone. The powder is finely milled and you only need the tiniest bit to give yourself a glow. I apply it to the tops of my cheekbones and along my temples.

I’m not one to wear a highlighter every single time I wear makeup. But right now in the summer when your face has a little tan a highlighter can really elevate your face. I’m so glad I purchased this Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter because the only other one I have is the Benefit Watt’s Up! I love that one too but since it’s in a stick form it’s tricky to apply it on top of a blush without smearing the blush around.

The pigmentation on the Becca Champagne Pop is absolutely fantastic and it has already become a staple in my makeup collection. I’m wearing it above and intentionally wore a matte blush so you could see the highlighting effect. I don’t know how well it translated on to camera but it looks STUNNING in real life. No joke.

One negative thing about the Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter is that it’s incredibly delicate. When I opened it for the first time it already had a few powder bits on the side of the compact. I don’t think I’ll take this with me when I travel because I’m afraid it will crack easily. I already have a feeling that I’ll have powder all over the product in no time because it’s that sensitive.

I’m really happy with the quality and color payoff of the Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter  and I know I’m going to get a ton of use out of it over the years. The Champagne Pop shade is a limited edition exclusively sold at Sephora so if you’re looking for a new highlighter I’d check it out as soon as possible!

Those were my thoughts on the Becca Champagne Pop highlighter!
