I don’t keep many products on my nightstand but there are a few ones that I can’t live without. There’s something ritualistic about sitting on the side of the bed and finishing your beauty routine before going to sleep – or getting back to your book for that matter. I wanted to share my bedside beauty products with you because I think it’s important to not forget those few steps before turning the lights off.
Gold Bond Ultimate Eczema Relief Cream: I always keep one moisturizing body cream on my nightstand in case I have any dryness. I like using an eczema cream even when I don’t show any signs of it. I only apply it to the areas where I usually would get it so I can prevent it from coming back (arms, hands, chest area). The colloidal oatmeal is great for fighting eczema and moisturizes deep into the skin.
Gehwol Med. Salve For Cracked Skin: I know I know, it’s a very attractive product :) But on a more serious note, this is the best foot cream that I’ve come across in a while. It works wonders and truly gives me soft feet the next morning. If you suffer from dry skin, this is your new best friend.
The Honest Co. Organic Healing Balm: Yes it’s another ointment but it serves a new purpose, I promise! I use this on my lips as a lip balm and also apply it to my cuticles to keep them hydrated. It’s all natural, hypoallergenic and is plant based with sunflower oil and beeswax. It has a yummy beeswax taste and I can’t stop using it. Because it’s made with all natural ingredients it does separate a little when it stands around so I usually squeeze the tube to get everything mixed together again before applying. It’s very mild on the skin and great for any skin irritation. You can find it in the baby section of a drugstore – it’s that mild.
While I don’t use all of these products every night, I do like having them by my bedside just in case. I find it’s more effective to use them while being in bed because then I don’t get distracted by anything and can really focus on my skin. Now tell me, what are some of your bedside beauty products? Do you keep it skincare heavy like me or do you not have any products on your nightstand?
