Emptied Products Part III

Emptied Skincare Products - www.viciloves.com - @viciloves1The time has come again where I show you all of my emptied products and tell you what I thought of them. Some of them will be repurchased and some of them won’t be. Read along to find out!

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water: If you read my post on micellar waters here then you know how much I love this one. I will be repurchasing it as soon as I’ve gone through my stash of other micellar waters. I’m also intrigued to try out the micellar water face wipes they just came out with…*adding to shopping list now*

Clarins Camomile Toning Lotion: Clarins is one of my favorite higher end skincare brands. I adored this camomile infused toning lotion not just because of the scent but also because it did a great job with getting any last bit of dirt off my face and refreshing my skin. As I’m still fighting my way through the micellar waters I will wait on repurchasing it but I’m keeping it on my repurchase list.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil: This stuff is absolutely amazing against blemishes. I’d put a few drops of it on a cotton swab and then apply it directly onto the affected area. It dried out the spot and got rid of it at the same time. This was a complete lifesaver on several different occasions. It’s become a staple in my bathroom vanity and has made a big difference in fighting off blemishes.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse: This dry oil is to be used on your body, face and hair. I absolutely loved it and used it primarily on my face before going to bed at night. It’s incredibly moisturizing and feels so luxurious on your face. I can’t get enough of the scent and will most definitely repurchase this item.

Rituals Moisture Recovery Night Cream: After I was done with the Nuxe dry oil I moved on to this Rituals night cream. It contained botanical extracts along with an active hydrating complex to get the skin extra moisturized. Although it’s for normal to combination skin it still felt really nice on my dry skin and also had a comforting evening scent. I would repurchase it but I’m eager to try out different creams from Rituals.

Nivea Lip Care A Kiss of Olive Oil & Lemon: I swear by the Nivea lip care products and loved the scent of this one. I prefer the milk & honey version but this one is a great alternative. I’ve already repurchased more of these….What can I say, I’m addicted!

Korres Jasmine Lip Butter: I bought this several years ago as a set of three for Christmas and kept one of them for myself… I couldn’t resist giving the jasmine one away :-) I did enjoy the buttery feeling on my lips but I don’t think I’ll repurchase it. I felt that sometimes it merely sat on my lips versus actually sinking in. And for the price I can’t justify buying another one.

Rituals Wai Wang Exfoliating Body Scrub: Keeping with the Rituals products, I finished this travel size body scrub in no time. I’m completely addicted to the organic white lotus and yi yi ren smell and have already looked into more products of this range. They have a body spray with this scent that I’m most definitely going to bring home with me. The scent reminds me of when you’re at the spa while on vacation. It’s heavenly!

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil: Keeping with the shower products, I have finished up my first ever shower oil. I loved the feeling of an oil on my skin as it lathered up into a beautiful foam. The oil is super hydrating and the almond scent is to die for. I highly recommend picking it up the next time you have a chance.

Softsoap Sweet Honeysuckle & Orange Peel Body Wash: Finishing off the body wash products this one is my absolute favorite from the drugstore. I’ve used up several bottles of it over the years and am completely addicted to the sweet orange smell. It’s so refreshing and doesn’t dry my skin out at all. A definite repurchase for me.

L’Oréal EverCrème Sulfate Free Moisture System: Moving on to hair products I finished up the shampoo and leave-in conditioner from this range. These were specifically for normal to dry hair with no heavy waxes or harsh salts and 100% vegan. They promised a triple action hydration and were formulated with natural botanicals. By no means am I a hair wizard but I did notice a significant difference in my hair after using them. I love this range so much that I’ve moved on to the curly hair shampoo and conditioner products. They’re incredibly nourishing and an affordable brand from the drugstore.

Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo: Even though I won’t be repurchasing this item, I did like it back when I used it in the summer. It had an incredibly sweet and fresh scent that made my hair smell amazing. It did apply quite wet which I thought was weird for a dry shampoo. It dried after a few seconds but then I still had trouble trying to work the product into my hair so I don’t walk around with white spots.

I finished up two mascaras, my favorite being the L’Oréal Butterfly Intenza Mascara. I loved the curved and flared out wand as it let me get into every single lash. The butterfly mascara range is probably one of my favorites available at the drugstore. I’ve also tried and loved the regular butterfly mascara. So good!

The KIKO Volume Eyes + Mascara was good but not mind blowingly good. The active ingredients in it promised to make my lashes thicker over the course of 30 days and I didn’t really notice any visible difference. I did like the conical shaped fiber brush but in general the mascara didn’t impress me.
