My style is minimal, basic and sleek. I want to wear things that are comfortable, mix and match well and are of good quality. I’m SUPER picky about buying new things for my closet (and life in general) because I don’t want to clutter it with things I won’t wear or use. As I’ve grown older, I’m also more into quality over quantity. It doesn’t have to be expensive as I routinely find great pieces at Target. I’m simply more selective on what I add and how it will pair well with my wardrobe. I love sportswear, things with an edge, solid colored items and comforty is key.
A brand that I’ve looked to for many years is Everlane. I admire their transparency on manufacturing cost, the effort they put into making quality pieces and their simplistic designs. Everlane pieces are meant to last for years and don’t follow trends. They source good materials and produce them in ethical factories. And I like that by buying from them, I’m supporting their mission. Below I’ve picked some of my Everlane bestsellers, all of which I’m dying to have in my closet.
Other Friday Favorites
– My new car ha! But seriously. Updating from a 2005 to a 2015 car is like entering a new universe. The rear view camera is a thing of dreams and I don’t even need a key to start it. What?! And then this morning my car was parked on the street in town and I walked past it because I forgot it’s mine… I’m delirious and I love it.
– The Dior Lip Glow is everything I wanted it to be. It’s a sheer balm that enhances your natural lip color and makes your lips look full. I have the shade 04 coral and don’t be scared by the bright color. It applies beautifully and has been attached to my hip ever since it arrived.
– If you enjoy youtube videos, you have to watch Casey Neistat’s new vlog series 368. He’s uploading every day and the cinematography is next level. Ever since starting my own videos I appreciate films and videos so much more. I can only imagine the amount of work and skill he puts into these videos and it truly shows. It’s like he said, the most ambitious thing he’s ever done and it’s true.
That’s a wrap for this week’s Friday Favorites! I’m still recovering from a cold and hope to get some house cleaning done this weekend. Wild, I KNOW. What are your weekend plans?
