Hello February, it’s nice to see you again. January treated me rather poorly with my broken foot accident (read more here) and things constantly needing to get fixed in and around our house. But with my foot looking normal again – and not all sorts of rainbow colors – I’m ready to tackle my February fitness files.
What I’m listening to: The Weeknd’s Beauty behind the Madness album is SO GOOD! I can’t get over it. I know it’s been out for a while but I keep craving it when I don’t know what else to play. I’m currently on an Adele strike because I’m so upset I couldn’t get tickets for her show. I still don’t want to talk about it.
What I bought: While I was in Dallas for the Create & Cultivate Conference I obviously had to do a little bit of shopping. I had made it a mission to go to the Lorna Jane store as it’s an Australian active wear brand that doesn’t have a lot of stores in the States. I’ve been dying to get a hold of some of their clothes and was really excited to try out some of the stuff in person. I ended up getting this high neckline sports bra that I absolutely loved the design of. It’s like nothing else I own and gives me enough support for my workouts.
What I’m eating: I recently discovered chia seed bars and have quickly become obsessed with them. They’re essentially a protein bar filled with lots of chia seeds and you can get them in different flavors. I’m a sucker for berry flavors hence why the açai berry one is my favorite.
What exercise I’ll attempt to do: Seeing as I haven’t been able to move much for the past month I’m excited to head back into my Pilates classes. I started going again this week and it’s been so nice to be back. I don’t do any planking exercises and generally make sure I don’t put a lot of pressure on the side of the foot (where my injury is). I can tell my body is out of shape but it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
