Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and I wanted to share a fresh and flirty Valentine’s Day makeup with you. For this look I wanted it to be light and feminine with no heavy makeup weighing you down.
I grabbed my Catrice Rose Eyeshadow Palette to achieve a rosy pink look. Catrice is a German drugstore brand that’s super affordable and available at Ulta in the States. The pigmentation on the shadows is really nice and I like to use the Urban Decay Primer Potion in combination with it to prolong the wear.
I first put the second shade all over my lid, then mixed the two in the middle together and layered it on top. I used the first shade as a highlight underneath my brows and blended everything out with a tapered fluffy brush.
For my face I used the Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer and I absolutely love this stuff. It’s so moisturizing, gives a natural light coverage and illuminates my otherwise dull dry skin. I then went in with my Manhattan Wake Up Concealer and blended it out with a concealer brush.
Once I got my base done I went back to the eyeshadow palette, took a thin angled brush and lined the outer corners of my eyes with the darkest shade. I also filled in my brows with my trusted Catrice Eyebrow Set.
A new addition to my blush collection is the Nars Blush in ‘Sin’. It looks a lot darker in the pan than on the skin and complements the eyeshadow look beautifully. For the lips I reached for my trusted MAC lipstick in ‘Syrup’. I’m halfway through the product which says a lot on how much I love and use it.
After I got all the main products on I went in with my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light to dust off my t-zone. And last but not least I used the Maybelline Masterfix Setting Spray to set everything in place.
I hope you enjoyed this look and inspired you for your own Valentine’s Day makeup look! I usually go for neutral eyeshadows and it’s fun to mix it up with some rose colored shades. What are you planning to wear for Valentine’s Day?
