KIKO Makeup Haul

I learned about the KIKO makeup brand earlier this year. They’re based in Italy, Milano and offer super affordable makeup with an incredible range of products. They have their own stores, like MAC, so you can’t buy them at a drugstore. The brand is mainly available in Europe but they just started opening up a few stores in the US – including one in the Washington DC area! While I was in Germany the KIKO stores where having 20% off of all their products – thanks to the Glamour Shopping Week –  and if that wasn’t a sign for me to go in, I don’t know what was.

The first thing that caught my attention was this BEAUTIFUL display of their new Rebel Romantic Collection. The stunning rose gold packaging had me hooked and I knew I wasn’t walking out of the store empty. What can I say, I’m a sucker for nice packaging :-)

I picked up an Intensely Lavish Lipstick in the shade 01 Lusty Peony which reminded me of Charlotte Tilbury’s high end makeup line. The rose gold packaging is stunning and the lipstick feels nice and heavy in my hand – very luxurious! I also got the matching Intensely Lavish Lip Pencil in the shade 01 Lusty Peony because I just had to have it. I eyed up the whole collection and also loved the formula on the Color Definition Eyeliner & Kayal in the shade 02 Cuddly Marsala. I’ve been meaning to get a brown eyeliner because it’s a more wearable color than black for throughout the day.

The two other things I got are the Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows that promise an eight hour no transfer performance. I swatched them in store on my hand and they were super creamy and blended easily while still staying in place – you know what I mean, right? I’m going to use them on their own but also as a base when I want to do a more intense eye look. The colors I got are 06 and 0706 being a beautiful golden brown and 07 being a shimmery golden champagne color. 07 reminds me of a creamy Stila Kitten eyeshadow – simply gorgeous!

KIKO MakeupKIKO Makeup has unbeatable prices with the feeling of MAC Cosmetics – same store concept, packaging is similar with limited edition collections mixed in and they have makeup artists in store assisting you with color selections. If you live near a KIKO store I’d highly recommend checking them out but you can also order them online and get their products that way!

I’m so happy with the products I picked up that I know I’m going to go back and check out more in the future. I’d love to get some recommendations from you – Have you tried any KIKO makeup products yet? What are some of your favorites / your go-to products from them?
