With a holiday weekend right at the end of the month I didn’t even realize that May ended! I started the month with a week in LA and ended it with a weekend in South Carolina and in between I got a few May beauty favorites that stood out the most.
Filmstar Bronze & Glow: Let’s get right to the point: I’m utterly obsessed with this. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever used a product this much and this frequently – I mean I’ve already put a serious dent in this and I got it two months ago…A new record for me! I love it because it’s extremely buildable and works wonders on my pale skin tone. I use a contouring brush for both the bronzer and highligher and it blends like a dream into my skin. Super lightweight and finely milled, no wonder all the stars on the red carpet use it…Completely worth the hefty price tag – this has changed my makeup game. AND it’s perfectly compact for traveling… You bet I’m taking this on every trip this year.
Essie “Bikini So Teeny” Nail Polish: I have never gotten more compliments on a nail color than with this one. People from all sorts of places have complimented me on this nail polish and I’ve been wearing it for the majority of the month. The weather was a disaster here in DC (rain, rain go away) so I decided to combat it with a bright light blue nail varnish. Mission accomplished!
Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk: This dry shampoo was part of my Bellacara Beauty Haul and I totally get why it’s been awarded as one of the best dry shampoos in the industry. It does a great job soaking up excess oil, it’s easy to disperse amongst my hair and has a lovely clean scent that’s not overpowering like others sometimes are. Do I think there’s other good and more affordable dry shampoos on the market that work for me? Yes – but I’m glad I tried this one to see what the deal is. If you’re fed up with drugstore options that don’t work on your hair you’ve got to give this one a try. It’s worth it.
NYX Butter Gloss “Tiramisu”: In this month’s installment of the “your lips but better” lip color this one knocks it out of the park. It’s just so easy to have lip options that are similar to your lip color! They’re a total must have for day to day life as they’re easy to throw on and make my makeup regiment a lot less stressful.
That’s a wrap on my May beauty favorites! Do you have any products that stood out to you this past month?
