My Mary Poppins Bag

Last weekend I attended the Blog Societies Workshop and I was in the mood to switch up my daily handbag. I turned to my trusted friend Louis as I’ve worn this Speedy Bag for countless occasions. From going to the office to dancing late at night, it’s truly become my Mary Poppins bag. The leather gets softer and better with age and the amount of stuff I’m able to cram in there is incredible. Everything from a second pair of shoes to my laptop, I’ve been able to accommodate it all. I bought this bag from one of my first salaries when I was still living in Switzerland. Every time I wear it, it reminds me of working hard and saving up for what you want. Regardless of if it’s a quality handbag or a trip with your loved ones.

It’s been unseasonably warm recently so I decided to wear my black jogger pants (old from Zara, similar here) with this tunic top (old from Mango, similar here). I like the length on the tunic and thought that the print and tassels were kind of fun and different. The pants are super comfortable and I like to refer to them as my fancy sweatpants. I’ve worn them for dinner dates with a cropped top or cami and love that I can dress them up when I want to.

I finally took my Loeffler Randall shoes for a spin around the city and first had to figure out how to properly tie them, ha! They need to be broken in a bit but I already know they’re going to be my go-to spring shoes. And on the note of keeping it real with you, I did get a stain on them as soon as I got off the metro (thanks, dirty escalators). At first I was upset but at the same time, it also reminded me to not take things too seriously – even brand new shoes. You live and you learn.
