One of my favorite memories from our trip to Seattle is visiting Kerry Park. It’s a small neighborhood park up in the hills of the city and offers the best skyline view. We went up there on our last full day in Seattle before heading home the following morning. We had just completed a day trip to Diablo Lake but that didn’t stop us from heading to Kerry Park. I had to convince Greg a bit as we were both physically exhausted. But as soon as we got there, the views were worth the effort.
At the beginning of our trip, the sky had been foggy from the wild fires and luckily a couple of days later, the smoke had subsided. We basked in the evening sun and walked a bit around the neighborhood. It was an amazing way to end our Seattle trip before heading to dinner back at our hotel.
We got lucky in that we never had any rain during our trip. I know, so crazy! I opted for my trusted midi skirt, a black camisole and a beige cardigan to watch the sunset over Seattle. I paired it with my gold Marc Fisher slides that were a welcome alternative to my sneakers earlier in the day.
Kerry Park is a tourist spot but for good reason. You can see the Space Needle, the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier all in one swoop. It provided us with a nice spot to recap our week in Seattle and remember our favorite spots in the city. The drive up there reminded me of San Francisco as some of the streets were really steep. On our way back down, our driver’s car barely made it down a narrow street because it was so steep. Stay tuned for more about Seattle as I will be sharing more of our trip in the next few weeks. It was our first time visiting the Pacific Northwest and it certainly won’t be our last.
