The third destination on our Australia trip was Sydney. We arrived late afternoon off of the airport train at Circular Quai and there it was, the Sydney Opera House. Greg and I started smiling out of excitement and I’m sure the local Australians thought we were being SUCH tourists (who cares!). It truly is one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen and it felt surreal seeing it right in front of us.
After we checked in at our hotel we walked straight to the Opera House to catch the Sydney sunset. The atmosphere was incredible as the sun was setting over the Harbour Bridge and the clouds felt like you could reach for them. Purple, orange and blue hues mixed in the sky and being in the middle of it all seemed like a dream.
I wanted to capture as much as I could because I knew that this would be one of my favorite memories of our trip. Strolling along the water, enjoying the sereneness and living in the moment never felt so good. We walked up the stairs along the Opera House, admired it’s architecture and just like that, we checked it off our bucket list. After seeing the sun set over the Sydney harbour, we were ready to hit the ground running the next morning.
