Apple Picking

Fall is in full swing and what better way to celebrate the season than to go apple picking? We drove out to Hollin Farms on a sunny day and started the adventure off with some hot apple cider and apple cider donuts. The ultimate fall combination, isn’t it?! As we walked through the farm and made our way to the apple trees, I was so happy to have my hands free with my Vera Bradley Tess Crossbody Bag. Both Greg and I had never apple picked before and it was such a fun activity. Deciding on what apples we’d want to pick, which lanes to go down, what trees we liked the best to what apple recipes we’d make.

Throughout it all, my Vera Bradley Tess Crossbody Bag held all of my belongings and let me roam free through the apple orchard. I recently picked this bag out because I needed a new fall / winter crossbody. Call me crazy but this is my first classic black bag! I love the feeling of the soft and real leather with it’s quilted look.  The inside of the bag features one of their signature prints but you’d never guess it from the outside! It adds a fun pop of color to your day and offers several compartments to stow away all of my items.

Vera Bradley was all the rage when I was in college – hello backpacks, keychains, wallets! – and I never thought I’d be one of their customers again after that. But recently Vera Bradley has rebranded itself and launched a range of bags for the post-collegiate woman. They’re more work appropriate and easily transition into a happy hour or date night look. I’ve gotten so many questions on where my bag is from and everyone is always surprised to hear it’s Vera Bradley! I think it’s a testament to the direction they’ve taken and how it resonates with the driven woman of today.

After a full day of apple picking Greg and I were ready to go home, reap the benefits of our hard work and bake a yummy apple pie. Okay to be fair…Greg did all the baking, I just ate it :-).

Thank you to Vera Bradley for sponsoring this post.
