Packing your makeup can definitely add up. You first grab your current every day favorites, then you pack a few things that will be good for an evening look. And then you decide that you need two different types of the same category because you can’t decide and have to bring both for different reasons. Or maybe that’s just how it goes for me when I pack my travel makeup bag?
I don’t wear makeup on most days when I travel. I want to spend my time exploring and/or relaxing and the less time I have to spend getting ready, the better. The key products are concealer, mascara and brow pencil. Everything else is a great addition if I have the time and am in the mood to put on a bit more.
One thing that I always pack on a trip is a diverse eye shadow palette. One that gives me a range of neutral and darker colors, has both matte and shimmer shades and allows me to mix and match. Another key item is a red lip option. You never know if a dressier occasion arises where you need to pull yourself together quickly. Adding a red lip makes you look polished and like you put in effort. Even if that’s far from being the case. But without giving too much away, let’s have a look and see what’s in my travel makeup bag.
What do you bring in your travel makeup bag? Any key products you can’t be without?
